How to Adopt a Dog

Adopting a dog should not be taken lightly, it must be carefully considered taking into account the pros and cons of adoption: the financial aspect, the lack of any place in the house, lack of time, the basic needs of the dog, a minimum of knowledge about education, the atavism of the chosen race etc.

All this represents a personal investment that will last several years, between 12 and 15 on average.

But in reality, things do not always go as we had hoped, and unfortunately the number of dropouts of dogs and even puppies is constantly increasing. From puppy bought on impulse in pet, the puppy gift, many are paying an adoption not measured in all aspects mentioned.

The perfect way to welcome a puppy or dog from a shelter, is to gather information on the real needs of a dog, education, deepen the character or origin of the chosen race to be able detect whether or not we have the ability to host in optimal conditions.

For this, all means are good: Internet sources, source books, breeders. The ideal is to make a list of questions that arise.

Finally, dispensing with adopting a dog, if, after careful reflection, it appears that the best conditions for hosting are not met is a brand of wisdom and respect for a living.
